Third Kind

Love is in the air … and on every television and radio advertising, billboard, and window shop. With the advent of February and Valentines Day hearts, it is red every where you look and love is the word advertising month. Instead of mass production of greeting cards or the traditional box of chocolates, I find most powerful expression of love to be a simple act of kindness.
Recently, when I slowed to allow a pedestrian to cross the street, she smiled and waved and blew my daughter and me kiss! He was charming and gave us a moment of joy instant. The other morning I woke up to discover that my neighbor had cleared our sidewalk snow had fallen during the night, what a great start for a good day. I have a friend who likes to pay the toll the car behind her on the highway, just so they can be surprised by this little gift. These simple acts of kindness are so easy and so healing.
Student Kindness warms the heart and both donor and recipient. It promotes a deep sense of satisfaction. Scientific studies have shown that good people are happier, health, live longer and more productive lives. In his book, The Power of Kindness, Piero Ferrucci goes up said: "These studies are of extraordinary importance … They help us understand who we are. If we are healthier when we are caring, empathetic, and open to others, it means that we are born to be nice. "Kindness reflects the best of human nature. It is our birthright and our duty to our lives as an expression of kindness. So much so that in 1994, Congress passed a joint resolution declaring a national "Random Acts of Kindness Week, which this year falls on February 9, 15.
Here is a simple way to bring more kindness into your life.
1. This February, every time you see a red heart, consider this a signal to perform an act of kindness. It could be a smile to a passing stranger, a "thank you" to a vendor or a phone call to an elderly neighbor.
2. When you think of your friends and family Valentine, ask yourself: "How can I be more kind to my dear? What act of kindness that I can introduce into our daily routine that will express my love for them? "Remember your own well-being!
3. Each morning, how can Ican be more kind to yourself today? How I can enrich my life and thus the world around me?
4. During Random Acts of Kindness week they go on line and see what is held in your community. Volunteer with gratitude and joy, and Pay It Forward.
5. Publish these words on your refrigerator or your desk, and live each day. "I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness I can show any human being let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect, for I shall not pass this way again. "Stephen Grellet.
