Reel Set
While Missouri may not be known for its bass fishing trophy, there are many largemouth there to keep a fisherman availability for a lifetime. To catch them, you will probably need to use different techniques you use to take less bass. If you are ready to take a few less fish in search of the warehouse wall, then this article is for you. First, I'll share some of my favorite techniques big bass. So I'll choose some of the best lakes and rivers in the state to find the bass of a lifetime.
Techniques:
Live Baitfish
This is personally my favorite way to catch largemouth bass big. The configuration is very simple. I use a 2 / 0 worm hook plastic, a blow from Split, and a large cap. I hook the bait (I prefer a sunfish Green between two and five inches) in the back, just below the spine. I depends on the depth of the fish where I am, but generally two Four feet is better. It is important to wait several seconds after low strike to set the hook. When you set the hook, do it with firmness, but without excess. Besides green sunfish, shad alive, the shining, suckers, minnows and various other work very well, fished the same way.
Flipping Jigs
This is one of the best techniques for spring largemouth bass and small large mouth bass. Cast the jig into thick cover, or near docks, let the jig sink, and jig up and down slowly as you roll. Setting the hook when you feel resistance. This works well until the summer as well, but she shines particularly between March and June My favorite jig because the method is a mini-Strike King Jigs, colored green and brown.
Plastic Worms
Plastic worms are good bait wholesale bass from April until early November. The general rule is the largest to hook more bass. My favorite big bass worm is a black 7-inch Berkeley Power Worm. It works well for largemouth bass between two and five pounds, especially at night.
Lakes and rivers:
Table Rock Lake
Most people consider the best Table Rock Lake Bass trophy in the state. This reservoir of approximately 40,000 hectares is exceptionally clear and deep. The deep sea is home to many smallmouth and spotted bass, and shallower water due mainly to large mouth. Probably the main method of Bass Trophy here lining Free shoeshine three to five inches. Other successful bids are spinnerbaits, tube baits, swimmers and plastic worms. The main channel near the dam, arm of the James River, and the Kings River arm are all great spots to find trophies, but the whole lake is low.
Lake of the Ozarks
This lake of 55,000 acres in central Missouri is heavily exploited, but a kind of trophy bass fishing remains one of best in the state. Largemouth reigns here, although limited populations of smallmouth and spotted bass are in some arm rivers. The best bait trophy tend to be flipping jigs, spinnerbaits and plugs different. The key here is to fish several docks around the lake because the lake offers very little other cover. The arm Niangua, Grand Glaize Arm and the channel of the Osage River are all good places to find large largemouth bass.
Gasconade River
The Gasconade River is a river of world-class trophy bass. Since its humble beginning near Springfield throughout the city of Vienna, the river is almost entirely dominated by smallmouth bass. Between Vienna and the mouth the Missouri River, largemouth take place along the smallmouth. Live minnows, crankbaits, tube baits, jigs, flipping, and spinnerbaits work well for both species of bass found in the River.
James River
You may have noticed in the section of this article on Table Rock Lake, I mentioned the arm of the James River was a great place to catch big bass. Fishing does not end not upstream of the lake, however. Any Road in Springfield upstream downstream to the point where it becomes Table Rock Lake, the James River is a river excellent float fishing for smallmouth bass and spotted huge. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, minnows and soft plastics are also popular.
Hopefully this article helps you learn the techniques and locations to catch trophy bass here in Missouri. It may not be likely that you will take a world record bass in Missouri, but this does not mean that fishing for them is not an exciting experience or a beating heart.
