History: Born a classic style
If you're like me, you've always thought that Tom Cruise the pioneer aviator sunglasses in the world. In 1986, Top Gun set the stage for a new fashion era. However, the reality of aviator sunglasses "debut was very different. In 1936, Army U.S. ordered to Ray Ban sunglasses as a standard issue for pilots in the Air Force. Pilots needed protection against the sun and glare without decreasing visibility. The Teardrop shaped black lenses do a great job of covering all angles to keep away as much light as possible. Aviators have continued to be popular among military and police personnel, but in recent years have gained popularity among all types of aircraft.
Who Made the most popular airmen?
Hollywood craze started many fashion, sunglasses are not exception. Aviator sunglasses became extremely popular in the 80s with Top Gun and a slew of films repression. Recently, even more films appeared with actors and actresses sporting aviators. Carrie-Anne Moss showed off a pair of black airmen in the matrix. Johnny Depp plays Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas wearing orange sunglasses tinted aviator. A more recent example would be Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They were of "Nitro" by Oliver Peoples sunglasses, classic aviators with yellow lenses.
What type of aviator sunglasses are available?
The newest style for aviators is colored lenses. Some of the most common colors were blue, purple, pink, orange and yellow. Bolle Oakley, Dior, Swiss Army and other popular brands have their own models of aviator sunglasses. Airmen are still available in sunglasses.
Classic Aviator Sunglasses
The only true "classic" pair of aviators is the original Ray Ban. However, most Other brands that sell sunglasses aviator them based on the traditional, classic aviators.
Polarized sunglasses aviator
Many of the newer pairs of aviators are polarized. Polarized sunglasses block the majority of horizontal light waves allowing only vertical light waves pass through intact.
Mirrored Aviator Sunglasses
Sunglasses come with reflective coating thinking that produces a mirror look. These aviators often come with a liner gradient that gradually changes from top to bottom. The main disadvantage of mirror sunglasses is that they are easily scratched. Even so, they look really cool!
